Adil Rashid says Babar Azam is better than Virat Kohli

The cricketing rivalry between India and Pakistan is arguably the most heated in the entire World. Very often the best players of two nations are pitched against each other and fans draw parallels between these two players. The latest two players to come in the middle of one such debate are Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. Several fans have discussed and debated over the quality of the two stars batsmen. The striking similarities in the playing style of both the players further fuel the conversation. The English spinner Adil Rashid recently took on Instagram to give additional heat to the arguments.

Adil Rashid backs Babar Azam:

Babar Azam has engraved his name in one of the greatest potentials of the game. The extraordinary form portrayed by Babar Azam has made many critics compare him to the India skipper Virat Kohli. His form, especially in the limited over cricket, has made fans and pundits draw parallels with the career graph of RCB captain.

However, many critics have also dismissed the suggestion and have argued that Virat Kohli is miles ahead of the Pakistani batsmen. These critics have suggested that Babar Azam is too young in the current stage and cannot be compared with Virat Kohli, who arguably is the best batsmen in the history of limited over cricket.

Adil Rashid, however, had some other arguments. The English leg spinner feels that Babar Azam is a better batsman under the current form. He said  “Ahhh… it’s a tough one. Well, it’s a tough one. So you got to go on the current form… I think I got to go for Babar Azam on the current form. I am taking form here…I say Babar Azam is in better form, so I picked Babar Azam. But they both are world-class players anyway,”

Adil Rashid referred to the latest New Zealand tour where Virat Kohli could not meet the expectations.
