Antim Panghal Career
Antim Panghal is a two-time U20 world champion and an Asian Games, Asian Championships, and senior world wrestling championships medal winner. She is the first Indian woman who has won a gold medal at the Under 20 wrestling World Championships. She is a three-time Commonwealth Games champion, two two-time World Championships bronze medallist and she is also a former Asian Games and Asian champion. She is the most decorated wrestler from India of all time.
Antim Panghal Olympics 2024
Antim Panghal presented India in the Summer Olympics 2024 in Paris. She participated in the women’s 53 kg wrestling event at the tournament. Sadly, she did not win any medals in the tournament. She made her debut in the Olympics but it ended with a tough defeat in the first round. In the first round, she fought against Yethil Zeynep, a Turkish fighter. The clash happened on 7th August 2024, Wednesday and it ended in a resounding (10-0) in Turkiye’s favor.

Then Panghal was embroiled in controversy after she sent her sister to pick up her belongings at the Games village, allegedly giving her an accreditation card while she was on her way to the airport. Before she could collect her belongings, she was stopped by on-site security. Then Panghal and her sister found themselves at the police station as they were trying to explain the situation that happened. The team of Panghal was also involved in a separate police matter.
