Veteran Striker Luis Suarez did not complete his move to Juventus as negotiations broke down. The Bianconeri accepted they were not close enough to sign the player. League rivals Atletico Madrid may snap up the player amidst the speculation. There is considerable interest from MLS too. A transfer to boyhood club Ajax is yet to materialize.
Center back Samuel Umtiti was inconsistent since his transfer from Lyon. Repetitive injuries and lack of physical fitness allowed the Frenchman to feature in a handful of matches since 2016. Barcelona is tracking the progress of former La Masia talent Eric Garcia, as per Marca. There is high chance that Barca will go ahead and sign the defender. Garcia has shown signs of potential during his recent performances in the Premier League. Moreover, the 19-year-old will become full fledged in the Spanish top tier as he gains experience at a young age.

Ajax’s youngster Sergino Dest may join Barca with Nelson Semedo nearing a transfer to Wolverhampton Wolves. Dest is a promising star and can run through the flanks being a right-back. The Catalan club will secure both the players with the sum received from Semedo transfer, around €40 million.
