La Liga giants Barcelona is undergoing a transition period with the club looking to bolster the squad with new signings in this transfer window.
Barcelona is looking to spend this summer reconstructing its squad. The board has already decided to sell most of the players in this transfer window. Quique Setien had a trophyless season at Barca with no improvement whatsoever. Club President Josep Maria Bartomeu replaced him with former Barcelona player Ronald Koeman.
The Dutch gaffer expressed his wish to develop the team into one of the Europe’s finest once again. He would like to build a team with six-time Balon D’or winner as ‘the pillar’. Koeman is beginning to make moves at the club. Rakitic left Camp Nou to rejoin his former club Sevilla for a meager fee.
Arturo Vidal is set to leave the club and has links to Inter Milan. French champions Paris Saint Germain are also showing interest in the robust midfielder. DailyMail reports that Conte will play an important part in luring Vidal to join the Nerazzurri. Conte and Vidal previously had a successful stint at Juventus.
If Vidal leaves it will relieve Barcelona with the high wage bills. Luis Suarez is one of the players poised to exit the club. Koeman ensures his trust in playing Griezmann ahead of the 33-year-old veteran. This could pave the path for Suarez in search of a new club. His boyhood club Ajax are looking to snap up the striker. However, the Italian outfit Juventus is giving them a tough competition to replace the departing Higuain.

The Catalan outfit is venturing into the market to find a suitable heir to Suarez. Newly appointed Ronald Koeman wants a clinical striker to pair up with the French forward. According to Express, Barcelona is edging to sign Lyon striker Memphis Depay.
Depay to fill in Suarez’s boots
Koeman finds Depay one of the leading candidates to replace Luis Suarez. The manager admires the versatility of the player and his composure in front of the goal. Depay went on from being a Manchester United flop to one of the best in Ligue 1. Since 2017, he netted 57 goals in 139 matches.
Currently, Barca is trying to hold talks with Lyon Sporting Director Juninho over Depay. The former PSV striker could fit in as a false nine or a wide striker. There is a high chance that the player could be a cheap alternative to long term target Lautaro Martinez. The Inter Milan striker is still on the shortlist of the Catalunya giants but a deal is yet to strike between the two clubs.
