However, despite missing out on the chance, Barcelona can launch a new bid for the duo in the winter transfer break as both the players are keen to move to Camp Nou. There is another option that the Catalan club can go forward with. Depay and Garcia have their contract expiring at the end of the current season which means Barcelona can sign them for free in the summer of 2021. If Koeman can hold his patience, the club can avoid spending and save funds to balance the books.

Barcelona will look to sign another player who is going out of contract next year. Manchester United’s Paul Pogba is one of the stars to get as he becomes a free agent and linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Already linked with a move to Camp Nou?

The Frenchman felt unsettled a few months ago as he was sidelined with an injury. He made a strong comeback and is performing well with the national team during the International break. Barcelona is a favorable destination for Pogba because he can fill in the footsteps of Sergio Busquets who is aging.

Paul is a World Cup winner and has the quality to produce something special whenever he takes the pitch. He possesses the robustness in the midfield to control the ball and create chances with long balls between the lines. Koeman will be excited to snap up the Red Devils star and the rumours have already gained momentum. There were reports in January 2020 about the possibility of Pogba joining the Blaugrana. It seems the possibility can be a reality if Barcelona can tie down the midfielder on a pre-contract as per Mundo Deportivo. Ronald Koeman is making his moves count with enough planning and reconsideration. Getting a talent like Pogba for free is what the Dutch boss will be pleased with.
