Cameron Delport Biography: Cameron Delport born on 12th May 1989 is an All-Rounder cricket player of South Africa with worldwide recognition for unbelievable performance in the T20 format. Being a South African, he has the British nationality for being able to play County Championship. He has manifested everyone with his achievements and scores in different T20 tournaments worldwide batting left-handedly and right-arm bowling. Cameron was a cricket aficionado from an early age and played the sport with utmost dedication. He completed his education at Westville High school. In 2008, he played in local tournaments and started his professional cricket career playing for the KwaZuluNatal team at a domestic tournament in South Africa. After joining the team, his achievements never faced a low pace. 

Cameron made him a senior team debut in 2009 while representing Dolphins at Port Elizabeth competing with the Warriors.

  • He made his first astonishing appearance at Africa T20 Cup after scoring the most runs while opening with Morne van Wyk and scoring a partnership of 367 runs in 2014. Cameron achieved immense recognition after his performance.
  • During the BBL (Big Bash League) of 2014-2015, he represented Sydney Thunders and had a remarkable performance throughout the league.
  • In the consequent year, he represented the KwaZulu-Natal at the Africa T20 Cup of 2015.
  • In 2016, he was a part of Lahore Qalandars for representation at the PSL (Pakistan Super League).
  • During the tournament, he scored a total of 227 runs at an average of 32.42. His highest score in the league was 78 runs.
  • In 2018, he was fortunate to get selected in the first season of APL (Afghanistan Premier League). In the league, he represented Paktia Super Kings.  
  • Later the same year, he made his representation in T20 format at Mzansi Super League T20 Tournament2018-2019 BPL (Bangladeshi Premier League) and 2018 Everest Premier League.
  • Cameron was bought by KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) in the Indian Premier League of 2018.
  • He retained with Lahore Qalandars for two consequent PSL seasons of 2017 and 2018 but was released in the fourth edition and was bought by Islamabad United in 2019.
  • In 2019, he signed a contract with Essex for appearing at the T20 Blast League for two seasons.
  • He was bought by Paarl Rocks and amazed everyone with his left-handed batting at the 2019 Mzansi Super League T20 Tournament.
  • After few months, he played the 2019 Bangladeshi Premier League representing Rangpur Rangers.
  • He will be representing the Quetta squad in season 6 of the Pakistan Super League and KwaZulu-Natal at the Africa T20 Cup
  • He was chosen to play for the Kandy Warriors in November 2021 as a result of the 2021 Lanka Premier League players’ draft.
