Chelsea Transfer News: Chelsea, a Premier League powerhouse, is mulling over an offer to acquire David Raya and Ivan Toney from Brentford.
Football.london reports that Chelsea is interested in Raya, a goalkeeper for Brentford with 14 months remaining on his contract. One of Kepa Arrizabalaga or Edouard Mendy is likely to depart this summer to make room for the incoming Raya. If Brentford does not finish in the top seven, the Spanish goalkeeper is not expected to renew his contract.
Toney, the Bees’ indisputable talisman, is set to become a free agent in 2025, although he might go as early as this summer. According to reports, Brentford might sell the 27-year-old if they get a fair offer or if the player requests a transfer.
They have been looking for a capable center striker for quite some time, and they may have found him in the one-time England international’s 19 Premier League goals.
However, Chelsea has competition from Manchester United, who have also been linked to the Brentford pair.
Manchester Evening News reports that the Red Devils are looking at Raya as a possible replacement for David de Gea. Manchester United have an opportunity to sign the 27-year-old goalkeeper quickly since his current deal will expire this summer.

Manchester United were said to be interested in signing Toney before Cristiano Ronaldo left in November, according to The Sun. They signed Wout Weghorst in January to replace Ronaldo, but the Dutchman has yet to score in the Premier League for United despite playing in 11 contests. In the heat of summer, people may feel a renewed attraction to Toney.
On Wednesday (April 26), David Raya began for Brentford when they took on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in a Premier League match. The goalie produced many spectacular saves as the away team defeated Frank Lampard’s squad by a score of 2-0 (Cesar Azpilicueta (OG) and Bryan Mbeumo).
