“I Made some horrible decisions-” Shane Warne

The Australian spin wizard, Shane Warne is arguably the greatest bowler ever to play the game of cricket. However, it can also be stated without any denial that he has had his share of controversies. The star bowler often made the headlines for all the wrong reasons including a stint of doping. Spot-fixing and several phone scandals are also few red flags in his glorious CV.

The IPL winning captain recently features on a live talk show on Fox Sports. The leg-spinner talked about his personal life and the controversies surrounding him in his playing days along with the impact it had on his family.

Shane Warne states he is not proud of his decisions:

Warne appeared on the talk show ‘A Week With Warnie.’ The Australian legend stated that he was not proud of all the decisions he made in his life. He accepted that he committed a few grave mistakes in his playing career.

“I am not proud of all of my decision” Warne acknowledged to the host of the show, Mark Howard.

Warne added, “I made some horrible mistakes and choices with things. But I was always true to myself, and that’s what I’m proud of today. Some of the things were really hard to take. I let my family down; I embarrassed my children … but that’s something I have to live with”

Warne said that even though his bad choices are more talked about, he has made some very good choices in his life as well. He said that the controversial issues catch more attention as they grab more headlines.

Shane Warne said “But for all of those bad choices I’ve also been very proud of all the good things I’ve done. I’ve done a lot of good things, but sometimes people like to harp on about the bad things because it’s a better headline,”
