CSK News: CSK to get a huge boost in the squad in the coming days

CSK News: There are only 10 days left for the start of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The overseas players of various teams have already started joining their respective teams. However, England and Australia are currently involved in a limited-overs bilateral series which will finish on September 16. So, they will arrive late in the UAE on September 17. Hence, they will likely miss the initial few matches of the season.

Coming to the Chennai Super Kings, the squad will be boosted by the arrival of three more foreign players. The likes of Dwayne Bravo, Imran Tahir and Mitchell Santner are currently playing in the CPL. They will reach UAE on September 12 after finishing off the CPL. Many of the players who will be taking part in the IPL are also currently playing in the CPL. The CPL will end on September 10. After stepping on the UAE soil. they will be in quarantine for six mandatory days and then have to undergo several rounds of COVID-19 tests. The trio needs to return negative in all the rounds of those tests. (CSK News)

According to the reports of the Times Of India, the three CSK players will be reaching UAE over the weekend. Among the three of them, Bravo will play in the finals of the CPL, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday. Trinbago Knight Riders and St Lucia Zouks will face off against each other in the finals of the CPL.

All these three players have put on a decent performance in the CPL. Tahir scalped 15 wickets in 11 matches, at an impeccable average of 15.93. Mitchell Santner put on an all-round performance for his team. He amassed 145 runs in 8 innings at an average of 48.33. Additionally, he even picked up six wickets with the ball in hand.

However, CSK’s death over specialist, Dwayne Bravo has not had a good outing in the CPL. He scalped nine wickets in as many matches but will be looking forward to put up a strong performance in the final. Moreover, all three of them are match fit currently, and the CSK team management will be looking to make the best use of them in the upcoming IPL. (CSK News)
