He did not get the bat from Tendulkar. The bat was gifted to Waqar Younis by Tendulkar. Then Afridi borrowed it from Waqar for the match.

His full name is Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi. He was born on 1st March 1977 in Tirah, Khyber Agency, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan.
