Dominik Livakovic Transfer News: Is Manchester United buying Dominik Livakovic?

Dominik Livakovic Transfer News: According to reports, Manchester United wants to pay Dinamo Zagreb goalie Dominik Livakovic’s release fee so that he can replace David de Gea in the summer transfer window.

Since joining Dinamo Zagreb from NK Zagreb for £550,000 in 2016, Livakovic, who is 28 years old, has become a key member of the team. He has helped them win nine trophies so far, including five titles in the Prva HNL.

Livakovic became famous at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He was a goalie with a right foot who was known for his quickness and reactions. In seven games, he helped Croatia finish third by getting two shutouts and making the most saves (25).

Sportske Novosti says that Manchester United are ready to pay about £9 million to release Livakovic this summer. They are very interested in the Croat because of how well he played in Qatar last year.

Livakovic, who has 14 months left on his contract with Dinamo Zagreb, is likely to be signed by Manchester United as their first-choice goalie. This season, De Gea hasn’t done enough to please his boss, Erik Ten Hag.

De Gea has the opportunity to sign a one-year extension to his deal, but he is more likely to leave for free this summer. Even though he’s in the last two months of his contract, he hasn’t signed a new one with better terms yet. De Gea is good at stopping shots, but he hasn’t improved as a “sweeper-keeper,” which is a current condition for football teams.

Livakovic, on the other hand, is expected to win his sixth Croatian home title by the end of May. In total, he has played in 278 games for Dinamo Zagreb and has kept 128 clean sheets. During that time, he has only let in 225 goals.
