Bravo recently took to Instagram and revealed a few candid moments he has lived with CSK. One of the most eye-catching moments came when he revealed a challenge between the CSK skipper and him. The famous challenge took place after the 2018 final between CSK and Sunrisers Hyderabad after the grand finale of IPL 2018.
Bravo reveals the ‘three-run dash’ challenge:
Bravo revealed about a racing challenge between the two veterans. After the final concluded Dhoni challenged Bravo for a three-run dash which was closely won by MS Dhoni.
Dwayne Bravo revealed the reason which started the famous race. He stated that the skipper was teasing him jokingly regarding his age and fitness and this initiated the famous challenge.
“He kept saying throughout the entire season that I am an old man; I am an old man. I am very slow. I told him, ‘I will challenge you in a sprint between the wickets’. He said ‘no chance’. I said ‘we will do it after the tournament is over’,” said Bravo.
Dwayne Bravo revealed that he did not want to challenge MS Dhoni in the middle of the tournament as it could have resulted in an injury to anyone of them and therefore they took it to the final day of the tournament.
“I said ‘I don’t want to do it in the middle of the tournament and one of us pop our hamstrings’. We did it after the final. It was a very close race, very, very close. He beat me. It was a good race. He was very quick,” added the West Indian star.
