FC Barcelona finalising a 7 players swap deal with Manchester City: Big names involved!

FC Barcelona stars Ousmane Dembele and Sergio Roberto have been recently linked in a swap deal to Manchester City. On Monday, Man City boss Pep Guardiola met Barcelona president Joan Laporta during the legend’s trophy match in Mallorca. It is rumored that the premier league winners have seven players listed for a move away from Etihad. It includes the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Raheem Sterling, Bernado Silva, Joao Cancelo and more.

According to Mundo Deportivo the Catalan giants and the premier league winners are planning for a possible swap deal – Cancelo, Bernado & Dembele, Roberto.

Mundo Deportivo : “What is clear is there is a harmony between FC Barcelona and City, and a good predisposition on both sides to carry out an exchange, a type of operation necessary after the economic effects of the pandemic”.

Dembele has a year left in his contract with the Catalans. Koeman wants to discuss Dembele’s contract extension with his agents. But the French international does not want to sign an extension with the club. The Camp Nou side will look to offload him this summer. FC Barcelona has warned Dembele that he will be sold soon if he does not renew his contract with the club.

Sergio Roberto also has a year left in his contract but he is already informed that he is free to leave this summer. With Emerson Royal & Sergio Dest fighting for the position(right back) it looks like Sergio Roberto is side-lined in Koeman’s plans and has no future at FC Barcelona.

With Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia joining the Catalan giants there could be more players packing their bags from Etihad to Camp Nou.

Bernado Silva has four years left in his contract at the Etihad. That could be an expensive option for the Catalans and therefore they are heading towards a potential swap deal. The Portuguese has requested a move away from Etihad this summer and he has been linked to the Laliga champions Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona. Despite the player starting in most of the league games for city, the Portuguese did not have an impressive season. The player is not in Pep’s future plans and city would like to offload him this summer. Silva is looking for a change in his career having expressed a desire to play in the Spanish league.

Reports from sports journalist Duncan Castles reveal how the Portuguese has FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid seemingly interested in acquiring his services ahead of the next domestic league season.

Reigning PL champions Manchester City are looking for major changes in their squad in the upcoming domestic season. Pep Guardiola is looking to change the outlook of the team in the upcoming season. Manchester city have also shown interest in Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid. The Laliga winners have shown huge interest in the past for signing the Portuguese midfielder, Bernado Silva. So, a possible exchange deal can be seen in City’s cards. Aymeric Laporte may also leave the city to join Barca.

Roberto is a versatile player and can play in a number of positions for city. He is a midfielder by choice but has also played in Right back position over the years at Camp Nou. Dembele can fill up in Guardiola’s squad as a winger as well.
