Inter want to sign Jordi Alba as a replacement for Ashley Young
Mundo Deportivo also claims that Inter have been drawn towards the Spanish Left-back after losing Ashley Young, who joined Aston Villa last week on a free transfer, while Aleksandar Kolarov’s deal is set to expire at the end of the month.
Jordi Alba is currently playing in Euro 2020 captaining his squad in the absence of his Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets. Jordi Alba is a regular starter for club and country since joining in 2012. Jordi Alba has scored 22 goals & 81 assists in 385 appearances for the Catalans. Alba joined Barcelona from Valencia in June 2012. He signed a five-year deal with the club for a transfer fee worth 14M euros. Since joining the club, he went on to win five Laliga titles & one Champions league title. Alba’s contract with Barcelona ends in June 2024. In last season he scored five goals & fifteen assists in 49 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Alba’s future in Spain remains uncertain as Barcelona are trying to sign a number of left-backs this summer. They have been most recently linked to Robin Gosens. If Barcelona are to bring the German full back at Camp Nou, they need to offload Jordi Alba this summer. Barcelona, though, are also likely to ask for a exchange deal involving Alba, as per the report, although it is unclear whether Inter Milan would be open to such a deal. For now, what is clear is that the Italian giants are keen on signing the 32-year-old Spanish international, who could be on the move this summer.
