The trend of announcing an all-time great XI for various teams is catching fire with a lot of players announcing their dream team in recent times. These various teams have suggested the best playing XI which has played for a team in the past. However, FOX Sports has gone one step beyond the others and has declared a team that they feel would rule the roster of best playing XI in 2025. The team contains various names from the present side which look destined for greatness in the near future. However, the biggest surprise came in the form of exclusion of the current Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
The omission of Virat Kohli creates ripples in the cricketing World:
Fox Cricket is known for its on-point reporting. However, the fans have put allegations of bias on the FOX sports after the omission of Virat Kohli. The reason could be the age of Kohli, who would reach the age of 36 in 2025. However, at the same time, Steve Smith is included in the side and it is the major force behind the controversy.
In other major change, FOX cricket has included two rookie openers in the side. FOX sports believe that Shubhman Gill and Prithvi Shaw would be ruling the cricket in 2025 and hence have included both of them in their best XI. Various breakthrough players such as Marnus Labuschagne and Babar Azam have also secured a spot in the squad. Marnus has an amazing season in 2019 with the Kangaroos and is believed to be one for the future.

Ben Stokes is the only all-rounder included in the side whereas Rashid Khan is the only spin bowler in the playing XI. The wicket-keeping gloves will be donned by the proteas skipper Quinton De Kock. Jasprit Bumrah is the only Indian bowler who managed to secure a spot in the side.
