Former Tottenham Hotspurs head coach Jose Mourinho thinks that Harry Kane’s inability to win a trophy with the club will push him to win trophies for his national side, i.e, England.
The North London club has always been unlucky when it comes to winning trophies. This year, they came very close to winning silverware when they reached the finals of the Carabao Cup. However, Premier League champions Manchester City defeated them with ease in the finals, resulting in another heart-breaking moment for the Lilywhites.
Head coach Jose Mourinho was discharged from his duties by Spurs management just a week before the finals on unknown grounds. Had he been in charge, things could have been different.

However, the ‘Special One’ does not ever lack suitors and within a month of being sacked by Tottenham, he was appointed by A.S Roma. His tenure at the Italian club starts next season.
Harry Kane might leave Tottenham this Summer
In spite of giving his best performance at Spurs, Harry Kane has not been able to win a single major trophy at club level till now. Jose Mourinho failed him too. And this has lately started to take a toll on the Englishman. If the rumours are true, Harry Kane wants his way out of Tottenham Hotspurs. Teams like Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all keen to sign the prolific striker, but Spurs owner Daniel Levy is not ready to budge. However, if Kane has really made his mind, it will be hard for anyone to stop him from leaving the North London side.
It is improbable that Spurs will let Harry Kane leave to Chelsea, their direct rivals, which makes Manchester City strong contenders to sign Kane if he leaves.
What Mourinho said about Harry Kane
In a recent interview that Mourinho gave to The Mirror, he explained the tremendous pressure that has been building upon Kane at both club level and international level. He craves to win trophies and if not with his club, we shall thrive to achieve his goal with his national team.
Can England win Euro 2021 ?
Mourinho also said that England are one of the favourites to win the Euro this year. England have never won the Euros, but this year, probably, is their best shot at the trophy. This can arguably be called the golden era of english football, with two all english Champions League finals in the last three years.
The young players of England are at a rise, and the average age of this English squad is very very low. Young players like Mason Mount, Phil Foden, Trent Alexander Arnord and Reece James have conquered world football at this ripe age and have earned worldwide appreciation. The presence of a prolific striker in Harry Kane makes them serious title-contenders. The three lions have probably the most balanced teams in the competition.
