Is Wearing A Skullcap Against Hinduism? Is This True?
No, Wearing an India cricket skullcap is not against Hindisum in India or anywhere else. It is just a rumor that was started some years back. Hindu religion does not say that one has to follow any straight jacketed wear. Hindu culture also does not claim that wearing a skullcap is essential or it is non-essential.
This rumor arises out of the rigid attitude on the part of a small number of regimented followers of Islam and a large number of silent followers of Islam who consider others’ wear and mannerisms taboo.

How Does The Rumor Of Skullcap Against Hinduism Started?
It started around 5 years ago, when UP Chief Minister, Yogu Adityanath denied wearing a skullcap at Kabir Major because he was offered a Karakul Turkic Cap. Kabir did not wear any cap, he had Vaishnava attire. The Karakul fur is obtained from Aborted lamb fetuses which Kabir condemned as sinful.
Wearing a Karakul Turkic Cap is against Hindisum, it is not just against Hindu culture, but it is also against Humanity. Killing innocent animals to satisfy luxuries is commended in a lot of Indian religions. So there was some misconception about the Karakul Turkic Cap and Indian cricket skullcap.
