What is ICC?
ICC refers to the International Cricket Council, it is a global governing body of cricket. It was officially founded as the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1909 by representatives from England, South Africa, and Australia.
In 1965, it was renamed as the International Cricket Conference and adopted its current name in 1987. The main headquarters of ICC is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
How Many Countries Play Cricket In ICC?
According to the official information given by the International Cricket Council (ICC), currently, 108 members play cricket in ICC. It means that there are a total of 12 Full Members who play test matches and 96 Associate Members.
Mainly ICC is responsible for the organization and governance of cricket’s major international tournaments, most notably the T20 World Cup, ICC World Test Championship, and Cricket World Cup.
