ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Warmup match – India Women’s win the match on the last ball

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Warmup match India Vs West Indies played at Allan Border Field, Brisbane stadium this was the first warmup match before the start of the world cup T20.
The match was a very low-scoring however India matched to win at the very last ball of the match.

India Women won the toss and choose to bat first and able to make 107 runs in 20 overs at a loss of 8 wickets. Shikha Pandey made 24 and remained not out till the end of innings, Deepti Sharma scored 21 runs second-highest run-scorer.

From bowling end, for West Indies Shamilia and Anisa duo shared two wickets. Shamilia Connell took 2 wickets for 20 runs an economy of 5.00, Anisa Mohammed 2 wickets 16 runs in three overs at an economy of 5.33

Chasing 108 runs in 20 overs West Indies women able to make 105 runs in 20 overs and lost the match to India women by 2 runs.

In the very last over of the match, West Indies Women required 11 runs. Poonam Yadav bowled the last over in the very first three balls West Indies player Chinelle Henry able to score 7 runs making the run rate dropdown.

At the very 4th ball of last over Poonam strike backed and took the important wicket of Hayley Mathews she scored 25 of 21 balls before getting caught out.
On 5th ball Campbelle able to take 1 run thus rotating the strike at the very last ball West Indies needed 2 runs of 1 ball with Chinelle Henry on the strike on the very last ball Chinelle lost her wicket.

For West Indies opener Lee-Ann Kirby scored highest run 42 of 41 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 102.44. For India, Poonam Yadav took three wickets at an economy of 5.00
