IPL 2020: The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is in full flow. Delhi Capitals (DC) are currently sitting in the second position in the points table. There is not only a stiff competition between the various teams but also between the players within the same team.

There has been a lot of questions regarding whether Delhi Capitals will feature Ajinkya Rahane in their line up or not. India’s Test specialist is yet to play a match for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020. In all the matches so far, he has been sitting on the bench.

However, a Delhi Capitals official revealed that Ajinkya Rahane is in good touch. However, the opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw has been in good form in IPL 2020. So, they do not want to disturb that opening partnership. Hence, Rahane might have to wait for his turn. The official also answered the question of whether Rahane is looking for a mid-season transfer as capped players are eligible for that in this season. However, the official rubbished the thought and denied all the rumours.

“He is an integral part of the team, and he wasn’t brought in with the idea of trading him mid-season. Whatever be said on the outside, he has been excellent with the team and has looked to give his input wherever possible,” concluded the official. (IPL 2020)
