WATCH: Lungi Ngidi likes a cryptic tweet with a fan fuelling rift with CSK

IPL 2020: MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings are currently in one of their worst run of form in IPL history. They won the opening match of the IPL 2020 against the defending champions Mumbai Indians. However, they won only one game in the next five matches. The key players have suffered injuries and the poor run of form of others have just aggravated their cause of worry.

However, there is now some kind of tension concerning the South Africa pacer Lungi Ngidi in the CSK camp. He featured in the first two games for CSK in IPL 2020. Then, he was dropped for giving away 30 runs in one over. However, he scalped four wickets in the two matches that he played.

Meanwhile, the limit of the overseas players in the team might be the biggest reason why Ngidi is not getting a chance in the playing XI. CSK have put their faith on Shane Watson and Faf Du Plessis to come good with the batting. Moreover, Sam Curran has emerged as an impact all-rounder.

Dwayne Bravo has also regained his full fitness and returned to the playing XI. Now, it remains to be seen whether Lungi Ngidi does get his chance in the team in the coming matches. (IPL 2020)
