IPL 2020: MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings are currently in one of their worst run of form in IPL history. They won the opening match of the IPL 2020 against the defending champions Mumbai Indians. However, they won only one game in the next five matches. The key players have suffered injuries and the poor run of form of others have just aggravated their cause of worry.
However, there is now some kind of tension concerning the South Africa pacer Lungi Ngidi in the CSK camp. He featured in the first two games for CSK in IPL 2020. Then, he was dropped for giving away 30 runs in one over. However, he scalped four wickets in the two matches that he played.

It seems that Ngidi is not happy with the CSK management’s decision to bench him and his recent social media activity is also testimony to the claim. He posted a cryptic tweet which read, “There’s a lot of bad things that they wishing on me.” The fans then wished him to stay strong and hoped that he will soon find a place in the CSK playing XI in the coming matches. IPL 2020: Lungi Ngidi likes a cryptic tweet from a fan.
One of the fans replied to his tweet and said that he deserves a better team in the IPL. To everyone’s surprise, Ngidi even liked the tweet fuelling the rumours of the rift between him and CSK management. “You deserve a better IPL team bro,” the fan’s comment read and Ngidi liked the comment.
Meanwhile, the limit of the overseas players in the team might be the biggest reason why Ngidi is not getting a chance in the playing XI. CSK have put their faith on Shane Watson and Faf Du Plessis to come good with the batting. Moreover, Sam Curran has emerged as an impact all-rounder.
Dwayne Bravo has also regained his full fitness and returned to the playing XI. Now, it remains to be seen whether Lungi Ngidi does get his chance in the team in the coming matches. (IPL 2020)
