IPL 2020 – NO ALL-STAR GAME BEFORE IPL.

The All-Star game which was supposed to happen before the start of Indian Premier League IPL is now unlikely to happen. This will be the 13th edition of IPL.

As per the informal news from the franchise the All-Star match is unlikely to happen yet the news is officially not yet been announced.

As per the franchises they were not consulted before the announcement was made. Later it emerged as a franchise they were not willing to let go of players due to the fear of injuries before the start of the competition.

All-Star XI and World XI matches were supposed to take place at Motera on March 25th or 26th. Even there was change and the match was likely to be played in Mumbai.

“It is at least not happening before the start of the IPL,” an official of a south franchise was quoted.

North Star team quoted BCCI haven’t communicated to them at all.

All-Star XI was supposed to happen between East, North teams against South teams.

The All-Star XI team supposed to have players belonging to Kings XI Punjab, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals to take on players belonging to Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, SunRisers Hyderabad.

BCCI president and former India Skipper had confirmed that there will be a charity match played before the start of the IPL (13).

BCCI is clear that they have to send players to Bangladesh for Asai XI and World XI which is supposed to be held on March 18th and 21st.

IPL (13) will be starting on 29th March first match will be played between defending champions Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, whereas final will be played on May 24th.
