IPL 2020: Ravindra Jadeja has an inspirational message after CSK’s 7th loss

IPL 2020: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost to Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the latest match of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They suffered their seventh defeat this season and even after winning the remaining four matches, CSKA needs a few more results in their favour to reach the playoffs. However, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja posted on his Instagram account that he still believes and inspired the team. (IPL 2020)

CSK had to win the match against RR to keep them alive in the tournament, but they put on a disappointing show. After winning the vital toss, their batsmen scored only 125 and did not show any intent to post a match-winning total on the board. Jadeja was the top scorer with 35 runs. MS Dhoni added 28 runs in as many balls. (IPL 2020)

The bowlers looked toothless after picking up three quick wickets in the powerplay. Jos Butler did not give the opposition a chance and scored 70 runs to take the team home in a game that the Royals needed to win.

This loss will hurt CSK and the players. Ravindra Jadeja seems to be one of them, who has had a good tournament. On Tuesday, he wrote on his Instagram story, “We can win, we will win, we must win.” The left-arm spinner has been consistently scoring runs for CSK in the lower order, but he hasn’t had much success with the ball in hand. So far Ravindra Jadeja has scored 194 runs in nine innings at an average of 48.50 and a strike rate of 164.40. With 9.34 economy, he took just four wickets. The all-rounder wanted to make the team proud by excelling in the rest of the game.

IPL 2020: MS Dhoni is also disappointed with CSK’s outing

After a poor performance in the match against RRC, CSK captain MS Dhoni has admitted that things have not happened this season. He made it clear that they have always followed their process and need to analyze where they went wrong this year. (IPL 2020)

“It’s not always supposed to go your way. That’s why what we try is going back to the process and see if the process is wrong or maybe we weren’t able to execute. Result is always a byproduct of the process. What it does is it helps you think in a positive way. We play in front of millions of people so there is nothing to hide. The fact remains that if you’re busy with the process then the undue pressure of results doesn’t get into the dressing room,” he said.
