Sachin Tendulkar Sends A Message after Sanju Samson’s Brilliant Catch To Dismiss Pat Cummins

We all are aware of the immense potential Sanju Samson possesses. He has been in great touch with the bat in hand in the IPL 2020. He scored two half-centuries against the Chennai Super Kings and the Kings XI Punjab. Both these knocks were vital for Royal to beat the sides and progress to the top of the table.

Samson also has safe hands on the field apart from his batting prowess. His catching prowess was in display against the Kolkata Knight Riders when he took a spectacular catch on September 30 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The youngster made a very difficult catch look very easy, which sent back Pat Cummins.

Cummings attempted a hook shot off a slower ball from Tom Curran, but could not get the middle of the bat. Samson found himself in an awkward position. He ran to his right and had to leap above his head. In the end, he caught the ball, however, his head hit the ground. Then, the medical team had a chat with Samson and to his luck, he did not suffer any injury. (IPL 2020)

Meanwhile, the Master Balster Sachin Tendulkar was mesmerized by Samson’s catching. Earlier, he lauded Nicholas Pooran’s efforts in the boundary line and praised him for his spectacular catch. Now, he even appreciated Sanju Samson and also recalled one of his catches from India’s match against West Indies in the 1992 Cricket World Cup.

He wrote on Twitter“Brilliant catch by @IamSanjuSamson! I know how much it hurts when you bang your head like this on the ground. I experienced it in the 1992 World Cup in our match against the WI when I took a catch. #IPL2020 #RRvKKR,”

Samson did not have a great outing with the bat against the KKR. He kickstarted his inning with a boundary, but could not carry on. He tried to attempt a pull shot off Shivam Mavi but perished as Sunil Narine took the catch. He was the second wicket to go for the Rajasthan Royals. KKR secured a 37 runs victory against the Rajasthan Royals. (IPL 2020)
