Scott Styris and Rajasthan Royals get involved in a banter When he predicts RR to finish bottom of the table

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is finally set to start on September 19. The much-awaited tournament will finally start after 6 months of delay. Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni will make their way to the cricket field for the toss on the first day. The wait has been too long for the players, commentators and also the cricket analysts. The analysts have already started analysing the teams. Some of them are predicting the rankings of the team at the end of the group stages of the tournament.

Former New Zealand cricketer, Scott Styris, also predicted the positions of the teams when the group stages finish. According to his, the Delhi Capitals (DC) will finish at the top of the table and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the bottom of the table. He also feels that the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will accompany Delhi to the playoffs of the tournament.

The banter proceeded when Styris responded that he will be happy if Rajsthan Royals prove him wrong. Moreover, Styris even took a sly dig at Ish Sodhi who is RR’s spin bowling consultant in this year’s IPL. He said that he wants RR to do well in the IPL only because Ish Sodhi is in their camp in IPL 2020.

However, Rajasthan has a balanced squad in this year’s IPL. Steve Smith will be the skipper of the team. Jofra Archer and Jos Buttler will play an integral role in the team. They have one of the most experienced players, Robin Uthappa in their side. Yashasvi Jaiswal is the hot prospect in the squad. So, they will certainly be a side to watch out for in IPL 2020.
