RCB once again choked in the semifinals as Rajasthan Royals defeated them by 7 wickets. This is the second time Rajasthan Royals has reached the finals after winning the first season. On the other hand, RCB is playing in the playoffs for the last three seasons and still failed to reach the finals in all three seasons. RCB performed well during the league stage of the tournament but fails to do the same in knockouts. The big guns of the team always fail in these games and the story was not different this time as well.
Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell, all failed to play a good inning once again after the last game. Royal Challengers Bangalore scored a total of just 157 runs in the first inning that was chased by RR in just 19th over. The bowlers failed to deliver as Butler scored his 4th tone of the season.
