Ishan Kishan is named as the replacement for the injured KL Rahul in the World Test Championship final

In the current IPL 2023 match between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Royal Challengers Bangalore, KL Rahul suffered an injury while fielding. The wicketkeeper-batsman subsequently issued a public statement about the severity of his injuries, saying that he would miss the rest of the IPL 2023 and the World Test Championship Final next month.

Indian cricket’s governing body, the BCCI, has replaced KL Rahul with Ishan Kishan for the headline match against Australia on June 7 at The Oval.

Jaydev Unadkat damaged his left shoulder after he stumbled over a side rope while bowling in the nets. The left-handed fast bowler is now participating in rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, where his development will be carefully monitored. He is still a member of the team, and a final decision on his participation will be made when the match date draws nearer.

The fast bowler, who is now being cared for by the KKR Medical Team, has started low-intensity bowling as part of his recovery. The medical staffs from the BCCI and KKR are in close contact, so Umesh Yadav’s recovery can be tracked on a daily basis.

Karun Nair has replaced KL Rahul on the Lucknow team for the 16th season of the Indian Premier League.
