Jo Vonlanthen Career
Vonlanthen began in Formula Vee before advancing to Formula Three and winning the Swiss Formula 3 Championship. He struggled in Formula Two but could secure a seat with Frank Williams for the non-championship 1975 Swiss Grand Prix, where he finished 14th. In the Austrian Grand Prix of 1975, he also competed in the World Championship.
Wilson Fittipaldi got an injury during practice, preventing him from assuming his position on the starting grid. As a result, Vonlanthen was allowed to participate in this race. Subsequently, he returned to Formula 2 before disappearing from the sport’s higher divisions.
