Kishore Jena Biography: He was born on 6th September 1995 in Brahmagiri, Odisha, India. As of 2024, he is 28 years old. He hails from the Kothsahi village in the Puri district in Odisha. He is a javelin throw athlete, but before he pursued this sport, he was a volleyball player. He quit volleyball because of his short stature and rejection from a sports hotel. Alongside his sports career, he is employed at the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in Bhopal since 2018.

- In 2022, he won a bronze medal with a personal best of 78.07m at the National Open Athletics Championhips in Bengaluru.
- In 2023, he started the season with the gold medal at the Indian Open Throws Competiion in Bellary.
- In the same year the Indian grand Prix in Thiruvananthaouram, Jena breached the 80 m barrier for the first time.
- In June 2023, he won a silver medal in the national championships in Bhubaneshwar.
- In July 2024, he officially registered his second best throw in Diyagama, Sri Lanka with a distance of 84.38m.
- In the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest he registered his then personal best theow of 84.77m in the Javelin Thorw Final and he finished 5th in August 2023.
- On 4th October, he won the silver medal at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou with a personal record throw of 87.54m.
- In 2024, he represented India in the Summer Olympics 2024 in the Javelin throw event.
