Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh Biography: Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh born on 17th September 1991 is the most skilled all-rounder kabaddi player in Iran. He plays for the national team of Iran in international tournaments and will be representing Bengal Warriors in the 2020 VIVO Pro Kabaddi League. Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakh in his Initial Days

Mohammad was born in the densely populated Mazandaran Province in a sports enthusiast family to Esmaeil (father) and Mariyam Sadeghi (mother). As every other Iranian kid, he was highly interested in wrestling. He started training for the sport from a mere age and trained under Ebad Darili. His trainer recommended him opt for the kabaddi sport for his high strength and insane mobility.

On his trainer’s recommendation, he started training for the kabaddi sport and it didn’t take him much time to master the sport. Within few years, he paved his way for the national team of Iran in 2016. He achieved immense recognition after helping the team win silver at the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.

  • He came under international talks after scoring 20 points with 2 ruper raids at the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup. His all-rounder skills helped the team won a silver medal in the tournament.
  • In 2017, he was the part of the Iranian squad at the 2017 Asian Kabaddi Championship.
  • The next year, Mohammad helped the team secure their first ever gold medal in international tournaments at the 2018 Asian Games. Later, he was the part of the Iranian kabaddi team which won silver at the 2018 Dubai Kabaddi Masters.

  • Mohammad was bought by the PKL team of Bengal Warriors for Rupees 77.75 lakh in the season 7 of Pro Kabaddi League. From the bid, he became the costliest foreign player in the season.
  • In the season, he was given the opportunity to play 23 matches. His participation in the team was successful as he scored a total of 122 points and helped the team win their first PKL title.
  • Bengal Warriors retained Mohammad for the 8th season of PKL.
