MS Dhoni was not finding it easy to time the ball from the beginning. When he started to feel easy, the required rate had already climbed up to 12. CSK needed 28 runs to win off the last over. However, MS Dhoni and Sam Curran could manage to score only 20.

“I was not able to middle a lot of deliveries. Was trying to hit it too hard. When the wicket is slightly at the slower side, it is better to time it. Looking at outfield it was subconsciously coming to us to hit the ball hard,” he stated.

Dhoni also talked about the areas where CSK needs improvement. “Long time back once we lost three in a row. We need to get a lot of things right. It is professionalism. We need to take our catches not bowl no-balls. Those are controllable and maybe we are getting too relaxed,” Dhoni added.

At one stage, CSK was in a dominant position when SRH were reeling at 69/4. However, Priyam Garg (51*) and Abhishek Sharma (31) played two vital innings to guide the team to a decent and competitive total. In reply, CSK could not handle the pressure of the asking rate yet again and lost the match in Dubai.
