New Dates For The Men’s T20 World Cup Released

The ICC on Monday confirmed that the 2020 edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup had been postponed to 2021. It was expected that the tournament would be postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. That is now the case, as confirmed by the media outlets reporting the developments.

This would mean that the IPL can still happen this year if everything works already. Already, the BCCI is trying their best to finalize a proposal for its smooth functioning. They are trying to finalize a venue for the tournament.

The postponement of the T20 World Cup really helps their case. The tournament that was supposed to be held in October this year, will now be held in October-November 2021.

Final on 14 November 2021

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will be held in October – November 2022

ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will be held in India, October – November 2023

Final on 26 November 2023

It is good that the ICC has postponed the international tournament, as a lot of teams had played no cricket in recent times. The players would have really been rusty and will need more time to get back into form.
