Caribbean Premier League is scheduled to start from 18th August. The league will be played behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic and will mark the return of franchise cricket after PSL was canceled in its final stages. The teams announced their final roster on 6th July. All the teams have strengthened exceptionally and will eye the coveted league title. Several New Zealand players were also drafted by the six teams in the process and the New Zealand cricket board has decided to give no objection certificate to five players which will also include the star middle-order batsman, Ross Taylor.
Brendon McCullum drafts two New Zealand players for his team in Caribbean Premier League:
The league will also mark the coaching debut of the former blackcap captain and the international star of T20 cricket Brendon Mccullum. The former wicket-keeper will lead the Shahrukh Khan owner team Trinidad and Tobago Knight Riders. McCullum drafted two explosive top-order batsmen in Tim Seifert and Colin Munro to represent his team in the cash-rich league. Both the batsman will join an already explosive top order consisting of Sunil Narine. The Knight Riders are the most star-studded team in the league and have stocked their middle order with the star power of Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo. Tim Seifert was drafted as a replacement of wicket-keeper batsman Denesh Ramdin.

On the other hand, the explosive middle-order batsman Ross Taylor will join Guyana Amazon Warriors in Caribbean Premier League. He will join the side with the huge expectations from the team of providing some much-needed solidarity in the side.
The other two players joining two different sides in Caribbean Premier League would be Ish Sodhi and Glenn Phillips. Sodhi will join St Kitts and Nevis Patriots whereas Phillips will practice his trade for Jamaica side.
All five players will need to obtain a no-objection certificate from the New Zealand cricket board to play offshore tournaments. The play is expected to follow all the rules of Quarantine on arriving to the Caribbean before featuring in any match.
