She has been a professional since 2017, competing in the UFC and Invicta Fighting Championships. She has not signed with any other MMA promotion after her release from the UFC. However, she did compete in a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event in 2021.
She attended Moanalua High School and competed in cheerleading, wrestling, and judo. She started wrestling when she was just 7 years old. She became the captain of the team for all three sports in high school. She placed third at the 2008 HHSAA judo state championships and also placed first in 2009. On December 1, 2017, at The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale, Ostovich faced Karine Gevorgyan. In the first round, she won by armbar submission. On July 6, 2018, at The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale, Ostovich faced Montana De La Rosa. In round three, she was defeated by a rear-naked choke.
Rachael Ostovich was set to meet Paige VanZant at UFC on ESPN+ 1 on January 19, 2019. On November 18, 2018, it was reported that Ostovich was viciously assaulted, causing a fractured orbital bone and other injuries, and that, as a result of her injuries, she withdrew from the battle against VanZant. On November 27, the match between Ostovich and VanZant was confirmed on January 19, 2019, after Ostovich’s doctor approved her to fight. Ostovich was defeated in the second round via armbar submission.
