Real Madrid complete the signing of Eduardo Camavinga on Deadline Day: Contract Details and more
La Liga giants Real Madrid have bagged in French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga from Ligue 1 side Rennes in a 6-year deal on the final day of the summer transfer window. The 18-year old defensive midfielder will reportedly cost Los Blancos about €40 million including add-ons.

The Hype about Eduardo Camavinga
Eduardo Camavinga is a holding midfielder which many are seeing as Real Madrid’s long-term signing as a potential replacement for Casemiro when he finally departs from the club. Both of the players have a similar style of play and preferred role in the team. Despite being too young to take control of a midfield, Camavinga somehow miraculously manages to pull it off. At Least so has been the case in almost all the matches of Ligue 1 he has featured in.
Camavinga has been a hot topic in the transfer market since last year, with almost all the top-tier European clubs having been linked to him at least once. Until last month, Manchester United seemed to be the top contenders to sign him but as the transfer deadline neared, Real Madrid became desperate to complete a top signing and so they went for Eduardo Camavinga. In this very transfer window, they sold Martin Odegaard to Premier League side Arsenal for a hefty fee of £30 million and that was what helped them prepare the bid for the frenchman.

Real Madrid announced the signing of the youngster through an official statement on their website which was later circulated all over their social media platforms. It said, “Real Madrid C. F. and the Stade Rennais F. C. have agreed to the transfer of the player Eduardo Camavinga, who is linked to the club for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2027.”
