Road Safety World Series T20 – Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar helps team India Legend to win the first game of the tournament.

India Legends comfortably beat West Indies Legends. The first match for the Road Safety World series played between India Legends and West Indies Legends at the Wankhede Stadium.

Sachin Tendulkar led India legends won the toss and decided to bowl first West Indies team were able to make 150 runs in 20 overs at a loss of 8 wickets.

For India legends bowlers Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel and Pragyan Ojha able to get two wickets. Irfan Pathan took one wicket he bowled 2 overs and conceded 21 runs. Yuvraj Singh bowled one over conceding 10 runs with zero wickets.

This is the first time Sachin Tendulkar played a match at Wankhede stadium post his retirement. He retired 7 years ago on November 13, 2013, the crowd craze for Sachin still remains the same.

This is the second time Sachin entered to pitch he earlier played for Bushfire Bash Charity game during the break for an over. He was not participating officially.

India Legend Bowling –

Zaheer Khan 4 overs 30 runs with 2 wickets, Munaf Patel 4 overs 24 runs in four overs with two wickets and Pragyan Ojha four overs conceding 27 runs took 2 wickets. Manpreet Gony, Yuvraj Singh and Bahutule were wicketless.

West Indies Legends Batting –

Shivnarine Chanderpaul (45) only batsman from West Indies able to get to half-century he scored 61 runs from 41 balls with four boundaries and two sixes to his innings. Darren Ganga made 32 runs off 32 balls whereas captain Brain Lara made 17 runs off 15 balls before getting out.
