Sergio Aguero makes a big comment on his relationship with Barcelona star Lionel Messi
Barcelona captain and club legend Lionel Messi has a great companion in his national team in the form of Sergio Aguero. The Manchester City striker has been playing with Messi in the Argentina squad since 2006 and the friendship between the players has grown with time. Both of them featured Argentina’s Beijing Olympic squad in2008 which fetch them a gold medal. It has been a journey for the duo in the hunt for an International trophy.

In a recent talk at the Santo Sabado program via Diario Sport, the Argentine striker revealed some incidents which took place including himself and Messi. Aguero defines his relationship with Leo is similar to an old couple. He usually falls asleep keeping the television on throughout the night and Messi would always complain the next morning during International duty. On arriving at the hotel, Messi is quick to take a shower and prepare himself for dinner but Aguero remains sitting on the couch talking over his mobile.

On noticing such, the 6-time Balon D’or winner constantly reminds of being late to dinner. He also told that Messi likes to reach places on time whether it is the dinner table or the practice. His punctuality is well-distinguished on the national side and Messi does set an example as a captain. Argentina won their two consecutive matches for FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifier in the South American region. In the first match, Messi equaled the tally of Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario for the number of goals scored in the qualifiers.

Lionel Messi is the second highest top scorer for Argentina with Aguero on the third. The duo has had a good influence on their footballing displays on the pitch demonstrating good attacks and goals. Leo was close to joining Sergio Aguero at Manchester City with the transfer mills running over a possible move after he had a fallout with the Barcelona board. The Barca captain has called it truce but he said there will be differences as long as the current board is continuing their tenure at the Blaugrana.
