Rory Burns completed his much deserved half-century but his celebration didn’t last long as Shardul Thakur dismissed him on the very next delivery, a frustrating moment indeed for Rory Burns. However, there was nothing he could do to undo it as the delivery by Shardul was near perfection. Facing the left handed batsman, he bowled an inch-perfect in-swinger which Burns tried to defend. However, the pace on the ball did not allow him much time and he got caught behind by Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant.

Shardul Thakur dismissed Rory Burns

Rory Burns played a decent knock of 50 off 125. His partnership with fellow opener Haseeb Hameed was turning out to be dangerous for the visitors and had he stayed on for a bit longer, the match would start slipping away from the hands of team India. Shardul Thakur broke the partnership and gave India their much needed breakthrough wicket.

As of now, team India need 9 wickets to win and on the other hand, England need a decent 252 runs to win. Nothing can be said yet and either of the teams has equal chances of winning the match. However, the chances of the match being tied are less and either of the teams will lead 2-1 in the series by the end of tonight. England’s Haseeb Hameed has already scored his fifty and is being supported by in-form batsman Dawid Malan. England captain Joe Root is yet to make his way to the field. These three batsmen will be the main obstacles between India and their hopes of winning the match.
