On June 14, 2011, Stipe Miocic signed a multi-fight contract with the UFC. In his debut, he defeated Joey Beltran via unanimous decision. In February 2012, he defeated Philip De Fries with the Knockout of the Night. In September 2012, Miocic’s first defeat against Stefan Struve was the Fight of the Night.

In May 2014, he had the Performance of the Night against Fabio Maldonado, and in December 2014, he had the Fight of the Night against Junior dos Santos. In May 2016, Miocic defeated Fabric Werdum in the Performance of the Night to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship.
