Tom Banton Biography: Tom Banton born on 11th November 1998 is a wicket-keeper batsman from England. He plays for the national team of England in international tournaments. He did not participate in the 2021 Indian Premier League but played for KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) in the 2020 IPL. Tom Banton Biography: Early Life

Tom was born in the Chiltern district of Buckinghamshire, England to a former cricketer Colin Banton (father) and Jayne Banton (mother). He was a cricket admirer watching his father practice the sport. Tom started training for the sport from a small age at the Warwickshire County Cricket Club. Soon, he started representing the club in U-14 and U-16 tournaments.

He studied at King’s College and represented the school in cricket and hockey tournaments. At the king’s College, Coach Phil Lewis shaped his wicket-keeping skills and played a major role in his success. While playing a match against Somerset Academy from his school at the Southwest Youth League, the director of the academy was immensely impressed with his performance and provided him a chance to play for the academy.

She signed a contract with the Somerset Academy and made his first appearance at the 2017 NatWest T20 Blast.

  • He made his T20 and first-class debut for Somerset Academy in the 2017 NatWest T20 Blast and 2018 County Championship.
  • For his high skilled performance in domestic tournaments, he was selected in the U-19 squad of England for the debut at the 2018 U-19 Cricket World Cup.
  • Tom achieved immense fame after scoring two astonishing centuries at the 2019 Royal London One-Day Cup.
