The former Indian Cricket opener Aakash Chopra is often is limelight due to his witty comments and outright statements. The cricket pundit has started making a niche fan following due to his Youtube channel which attracts a lot of users on the platform. Chopra recently took to his channel to announce his combined all-star team of Royal Challengers Bangalore. He declared various star players on the team. However, few of his choices have raised a few eyebrows amongst the fans. The team has looked very well stacked in the batting department; however, the bowling has looked as shaky as the current bowling department of the side.
Aakash Chopra chooses R Vinay Kumar as a fast bowler in the side:
Aakash Chopra has stacked the batting order with utmost sincerity. He has chosen the Universe Boss Chris Gayle for an opening role and has partnered him along with the Indian and RCB skipper Virat Kohli. KL Rahul will follow the explosive pair at number three and will complete the opening three of the side.
After an extremely strong top three, the middle order is also fully stacked and the team has AB De Villiers on numbers fourth whereas the New Zealand star Ross Taylor has been chosen to bat at number five by Aakash Chopra. However, as the cases with most RCB squads which is where the problem starts.
The team has Robin Uthappa as number six, who is a great opening batsman at the top order but is not as successful in the boots of a finisher. Aakash Chopra has also missed choosing an all-rounder for the side and went with Mitchell Starc at number seven. RCB has had various great all-rounders such as Cameron White, Moeen Ali, and CDG play for them and his choice to go with Starc is surprising.
However, the bowling department and especially the inclusion of R Vinay Kumar has also surprised a lot of fans. Especially when the team possesses players such as Navdeep Saini and Umesh Yadav in the side, Vinay Kumar’s inclusion does seem surprising.
The Entire Squad is:
Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli (c), KL Rahul (wk), AB de Villiers, Ross Taylor, Robin Uthappa, Mitchell Starc, Anil Kumble, Yuzvendra Chahal, R Vinay Kumar, Zaheer Khan
