For the three-match T20I series against India that gets underway on September 20, Australia's top opener David Warner has been given the day off.
Prior to coming home, Australia will visit India to play matches against the West Indies, England, and India in preparation for the T20 World Cup. David Warner will not participate in the India tour "as part of a planned time of preparation for a full summer schedule
despite being nominated to the Australia team for the ICC competition later this year. For the India tour, Warner has been replaced by Cameron Green.
Cameron's progress in all parts of his game have been excellent," said George Bailey, head of the National Selection Panel, "and we are eager for him to continue the evolution of his all-round T20 cricket via greater exposure to the format."
