Iga Swiatek defeated Lauren Davis at the US Open on Saturday after an astonishing comeback. Swiatek has qualified for the grand slam's fourth round for the second consecutive year.

Davis was defeated by Swiatek with a score of 6-3, 6-4.

Swiatek has advanced to the fourth round in both of the previous years.

The World No. 1 will now compete in the Round of 16 against either Jule Niemeier of Germany or Qinwen Zheng of China

The World No. 1 quickly levelled the playing field before winning the following two games to go to the fourth round. Swiatek acknowledged that she struggled to establish her rhythm today in a post-match interview

The American player, who was distinct from the other players and was extremely smart during the match, was also lauded by the Polish star in addition to Davis.

Swiatek said in her closing remarks that she tries to enjoy every game and looks for answers in every circumstance.
