The seventh Pakistani player to reach 5000 T20 runs is Mohammad Rizwan.

Mohammad Rizwan was Pakistan's star hitter in the sixth match of the 2022 Asia Cup, scoring 78 runs off 57 balls with the aid of six fours and one six.

On Friday, September 2, Mohammad Rizwan became just the eighth Pakistani batsman to reach 5000 runs in T20 cricket.

At the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, the right-handed batsman accomplished the feat during his team's second Group A encounter against Nizakat Khan's Hong Kong.

Shoaib Malik, Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal, and Ahmed Shehzad were all on the list with Rizwan.

Rizwan scored a goal against India in the fourth quarter but did not press forward. He eventually got out to Hardik Pandya, who won Player of the Match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, after putting up a good fight.

Rizwan rediscovered his groove against Hong Kong, scoring 50 off 42 balls. Rizwan steadied the ship when Ehsan Khan fired Babar Azam. Fakhar Zaman made his 50 from 38 balls.

Rizwan and Fakhar added 116 runs off 80 balls to Pakistan's innings. Pakistan were 64 for 1 wicket at the halfway mark.
