Suresh Raina retires from all forms, including the Indian Premier League

On Tuesday, Suresh Raina declared his retirement from all cricket competitions, including the IPL. In the IPL auction this year, Raina was not selected.

The left-handed batter spent many years as a mainstay on the Indian squad and was also a member of the team that won the World Cup in 2011

Even though Raina has played for India in all three game formats, his contributions to white-ball cricket stand out

The left-handed hitter scored 5615 runs at an average of 35.31 in 226 ODI games for his country, with his top score coming in at 116 not out

In terms of T20Is, Raina participated in 78 games and amassed 1065 runs. Additionally, he was the first Indian player to record a century in the game's shortest format

After thanking the BCCI and Chennai Superkings among others, the left-handed batter went on to declare his retirement from all formats of the game

He also expressed gratitude to the supporters for their unwavering belief in him
