On Thursday, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly informed all state associations that the organisation anticipates the women's IPL to begin play early in 2019.

In a letter to all state organisations, Ganguly outlined key issues about the domestic and international home schedule for 2022–23

 He made reference in the letter of the BCCI's efforts to create a women's IPL

The BCCI is presently developing the eagerly anticipated Women's IPL. We anticipate launching the first season early in 2019.

The men's Indian team will host Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and New Zealand, while the women's team will host Australia, according to the letter

Also scheduled for the BCCI are two Irani Cups, one in October of this year and one in March of the following year

In contrast to Madhya Pradesh, who won the Ranji Trophy this year, Rest of India will play Saurashtra in Indore next year. Saurashtra is the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy champion.
