I truly want Sachin Tendulkar's record to be broken by Virat Kohli by hitting 100 centuries: Mr. Shoaib Akthar

Former Pakistani bowler Shoaib Akthar has stated that he wants Virat Kohli to surpass Sachin Tendulkar's record of 100 hundreds by scoring 100 of them. In the current international cricket season, Kohli has 70 hundreds

In Akthar's opinion, Kohli should postpone a decision on T20 cricket till after the World Cup.

According to Hindustan Times, the former bowler said in a YouTube video that Kohli hasn't been handling the ball effectively and advised the Indian star to hold off till the World Cup this year before deciding whether the T20 format is right for him.

Virat Kohli hasn't been that good at mucking the ball up. Both innings were rather uneven. He got a 59; I want the best for him. My only advice to Kohli is to wait till the T20 World Cup if this format doesn't work for him

Mera ye hi mashwara hoga Kohli ko ki dekh lo World Cup tak. You need to get another 30 centuries, Akthar added, adding that.

In addition, Akthar claimed that Kohli has the potential to surpass all previous records and that, in contrast to T20 cricket, lengthier formats will provide him more time to settle in and score runs

The former Pakistani bowler added that Tendulkar's record of 100 centurie may be beaten by Kohli
