England Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford broke all odds to give a spectacular performance for the Three Lions throughout their Euro 2020 finals, and had a big role to play in their road to the finals. Despite his remarkable performance, the Everton goalie will not be awarded the Euro 2020 Golden Gloves award.

Gareth Southgate’s men are set to face a strong Italian side in the final of Euro 2020 at London’s Wembley stadium as they eye their first European championship trophy and also their first International trophy in the last 55 years.
England’s Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and Jordan Pickford are in the life of their forms but all of it might still not be enough for them to stop the Azzurris who are unbeaten for 33 games straight. Apart from the tactical battle between Gareth Southgate and Roberto Mancini, the game will also be a battle between the two best goalkeepers in the tournament – Jordan Pickford and Gianluigi Buffon.
Both the goalkeepers have been tremendous between the sticks, but the English keeper has been just slightly ahead.

So if Pickford has been simply the best goalkeeper in the tournament, why not just simply give him the Golden Glove award? Well that is because UEFA historically does not hand out Golden Gloves at the Euros. So Jordan Pickford will officially not be given the award, but unofficially, he will definitely go down as best goalkeeper in Euro 2021.
Which all awards are handed out at Euro 2020?
There are six post-tournament awards at Euro 2020. But no Golden Glove.
- Player of the tournament – awarded to the best player of the tournament
- Golden Boot – awarded to the top goalscorer
- Silver Boot – awarded to the second-highest goalscorer
- Bronze boot – awarded to the third-highest goalscorer
- Young Player of the tournament – awarded to the tournament’s best U21 player.
- Team of the tournament – awarded to the best combined team of players at the tournament
