Mohammad Azharuddin is a famous Indian politician and a former cricketer. He has served as the Indian national cricket team captain. He was born on 8th February 1963 in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. As of 2024, he is 61 years old.
He was a right-handed middle-order batsman and he was also an occasional medium-fast bowler. He has played a total of 334 One Dat International and 99 Test matches for India. He was part of the Indian squad which won the 1985 World Championship of Cricket.

His cricket career came to an end in 2000 when he got banned by the Board of Control for Cricket in India for life due to his alleged involvement in a match-fixing scandal.
