What is Baseball?
Baseball is a bat and ball sport that is played between two teams of nine players each take turns batting and fielding. This game is kind of similar to cricket. The game occurs throughout several plays with each play generally beginning when a player on the fielding game called the pitch. The pitch throws a ball that a player on the batting team called the batter who has to try to hit the ball with the bat.

Why Don’t Baseball Players Wear A Baseball Helmet Similar To A Cricketer Helmet?
Baseball helmets are not similar to cricket helmets. They are different in terms of looks and material. When these helmets were made so it was used to look like caps and they were not good in terms of safety.
Later, an ear flap was added to the helmet. The pre-molded ear flap was first used in the early 1960s, and it became mandatory to wear this helmet for players from 1983. The last player to use the plain helmet got retired in 1996.
But after many years, the manufacturer has also added a chin protective flap in the helmet. The chin flap is optional it is not compulsory at all. However, cricket helmets are somewhere more heavier than baseball helmets.
